Friends,
Right now, from the comfort of your home, at no personal cost, without even leaving your desk, a simple click of your mouse can support the most vulnerable and under-served members of the Vancouver community.
Sole Food Street Farms, the Vancouver based social enterprise that provides agricultural training and employment for residents of the Downtown East-Side is a front-runner for a $30,000 prize from Kindness Pays Forward, a Vancouver initiative sponsored by Concord Pacific and Global TV.
By going to www.kindnesspaysforward.ca now and voting for Sole Food you can move us closer towards that goal.
Sole Food is an internationally recognized pioneer in urban agriculture and at the forefront of the social enterprise movement. The farms produce twenty-five tons of fresh food annually on parking lots supplying Vancouver’s top restaurants and farmers’ markets with artisan quality fruits and vegetables. The project provides a sense of purpose and belonging for individuals managing long-term addiction, mental illness, and material poverty.
There is a lot of bad news these days, but for every story of climate collapse, for every mean-spirited narcissistic world leader, for every act of terrorism or natural disaster there are a million stories of hope and possibility. Sole Food Street Farms is one of those hopeful stories.
Please take the less than one minute it requires to go online and vote to support our good work and all those who are benefitting from it. We need a massive outpouring soon to push us over the edge and allow us to receive these much-needed funds
Right now, before anything else catches your attention, vote for Sole Food at www.kindnesspaysforward.ca, and ask every one you know to do the same.
Wishing you all the best for the New Year!
