CSA TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a program of mutual commitment between a farm and a community of supporters. It links people directly with their source of food, providing them with the freshest, most sustainably produced food; and it gives farmers a source of income at their time of highest expense. Shareholders purchase a share in the season’s harvest and receive a weekly package of food throughout the season.

Sole Food Street Farms offers a limited number of CSA shares each year.

Purchase Policy: Shares can be purchased up until 3 days prior to the start date. Partial shares may be purchased on a pro-rated basis with a minimum of 3 days notice prior to the next pickup date as availability allows.

Cancellation: Sole Food Street Farms will only consider refunds within one week of the date of purchase. Following the start of the CSA, refunds will only be considered on a case by case basis according to need.

Usage: When you purchased your share you selected a pickup window.  If you cannot make your assigned pickup time please contact us at at csa@solefoodfarms.com ASAP so we can make other arrangements. To be successful, CSAs require a commitment between the farm and the consumer.

Changes: Date selections are finalized at the time of purchase. We require one full weeks’ notice for changes during the season; pick-ups cannot be rescheduled to another week within the week of your selected date. If there are less than 7 days before your pick-up, you may request to pick up at our Saturday Farmers Market location during your scheduled week or opt to donate the share to one of our community partners. Please note there are a limited number of shares available for pick-up each week, so it will be important to finalize your dates promptly.

Unfortunately we cannot refund shares not picked up. If you cannot pick up your share for any reason please offer it to a friend or contact us and we will make arrangements to donate your share to someone in need through our community partners and weekly donation distributions.

The Sole Food CSA is a peak season CSA box and will be loaded with our farmers’ choice of the freshest in season products. Some of the products you can expect to see in your box include:

Beans, Cucumbers, Summer Squash, Winter Squash, Fresh Onion, Green Onion, Leeks, Sweet Peppers, Tomatoes, Carrots, Hakurei Turnips, Radishes, Beets, Cabbage, Arugula, Mustard Greens, Sole Food Mix, Lettuce, Kale, Chicories, Fennel, Potatoes, Herbs: Basil, Cilantro, Dill, Parsley, Mint, Oregano, Chives, etc.

Communication: As a member you will receive emails from us from time to time throughout the season. We promise not to spam your inbox unnecessarily but at the beginning and end of each season you can expect an increased volume of emails. Typically, you can expect up to 1 email per week. Certain promotions may be made available to market-share members, these will be communicated to all members by email. Questions about your share can be directed to market staff, by email to csa@solefoodfarms.com.

Restrictions, Risk, and No Guarantees: CSA shares have no cash value. Shares may not be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount except as indicated in official correspondence. As much as we’d like to, Sole Food cannot always guarantee the quality or quantity of our produce. While we make every effort to ensure the highest quality and freshest produce possible, weather conditions and other natural phenomena outside our control may affect the quality or quantity of our products from time to time. Sole Food Farms uses sustainable, organic methods and practices at every step, using no chemical pesticides or herbicides, however due our urban location and the high costs of certification, we are not certified organic.
